Society sets milestones but you have to treat them like guidelines, like drafted bullet points in your notebook called « Life ». You set your own milestones and even if they are far from the traditional « norm » that’s absolutely fine.
Family is relative. They want what’s best for you and so you have to accept it and smile and then live your life the way you think is best for you.
Friendships: friends will come and go. Sometimes we fall apart and then reunite again. Sometimes you never see them again. And if you are lucky, your best friend will be the one person you could confide in all your life and will stick by you through the highs and the lows.
Love: love comes and goes. Love if real will stay with you and if the person loves you, they will put your happiness before theirs. You can fall in love more than once in a lifetime. Love is also relative.
Your loved one can become your best friend - this makes for the best relationships
Stop caring too much. When you care about someone or something too much, you start overthinking. At the end you will only hurt yourself.
Not being like everyone else is better because you are being YOU
Traveling is one of the best ways of distraction. Travel more and care less.
Job: it is just a job, if you loose this one - something else will come along. Your life is not your job. There are so many things to enjoy in life, make sure you make time.
Don’t ever take anyone for granted. Like ever. Tomorrow they might be gone and you won’t be able to see them again.
Learn to let go.
Don’t be afraid to show how you feel. If you are happy smile, if you are sad - cry. If you miss someone, let them know and if you want something, say it. If we don’t act on our feelings, we miss out on something wonderful.
Learn to forgive.
Learn to forget.
Try to be a better version of yourself each day.
Remember you are good enough the way you are. You don’t have to prove yourself to anyone but yourself. Try to be a better person for you. No one else will appreciate your efforts.
Learn to be happy alone.
Spend your money on something that you like, that you want. A lot of money makes people greedy and not nice. So spend it on something that makes you happy.
Never underestimate the power of positive thinking.
Break the rules. Drink cocktails and make out with strangers
Dance in the rain
Laugh like there’s no one watching
Honesty will get you further than sly games
Remember the best thing about advice is that you don’t have to take it
