I just realised that I do not have a post on Zurich yet, even though Zurich has become one my favourite cities here in Switzerland! Inexcusable mistake on my end - for which I do apologise.
Zurich is a sophisticated and yet a very young and dynamic city. The city is very welcoming and literally anyone could find a perfect spot for them: whether it is a quiet hipster coffee shop, or a trendy lunch café, or maybe even a street food bistro - you will not be disappointed. My favourite part of the city is by the Limmat river though. The setting is very romantic and has a very cozy flare to it. The shopping are, unlike the one in Geneva, is spread from the train station to the lake and yet it is not hurting your eyes when you walk down the streets, and you still have some space to walk around, as it is not super crowded. I cannot comment on the quality of shopping, as whether you believe it not, I have not been there for shopping.
What I can recommend though are places for wine and dine, here are a few:
Bubbles: I visited Bubbles for a Sunday brunch -a very cozy place for brunch, English speaking and friendly staff and the prices do not bite. You can also stay in a bit later after your meal to work on a project or read a book.

Bindella: This is a fancy restaurant, slightly pricier than one would hope for, but the food is delicious and the selection of wine is amazing. It is a perfect place for a date, if you are willing to impress your better half - and it is better to reserve in advance, the restaurant can get very crowded.

Last October when I was in Zurich, I went on a date and we ended up in the weirdest bar ever that was part of a theatre. Despite its particular setting, the bar was perfect - it had the atmosphere, the music and the culture aspect to it. Turns out ins summer there is also a terrasse that you can enjoy - so the bar is called: Kosmos and here is the link: kosmos.ch/kosmos/lala-bar
I would also recommend, in summer, going by the lake and taking an Apérol Spritz or getting an ice-cream and walking around exploring the city.
Zurich, also has a lot to offer in terms of shows, musicals, entertainment, exhibitions etc. I often find myself in Zurich during the seasons when there are many various shows: Dirty Dancing musical, Cirque du Soleil and many other performances are available to the public. Just make sure to check that the language that show is in, is actually English, unless you speak German and it does not matter to you.
I hope that one day you will have a chance to visit Zurich and you will fall in love it - just like I have.
