Stockholm - my favorite place in the entire world. I have fallen in love with its beautiful architecture and its beauty has no limits. When you walk by the Royal Palace and approach the breathtaking seaside, it seems like nothing in this world matters. The people are really friendly and so beautiful as well, you feel like being in the city of angels. Aside from breathtaking sites, there are so many things to do and see, here are my recommendations:
1. Take the hop on hop off bus/boat -> I would personally recommend the boat tour as it is more exciting and it stops at the best sightseeing places.
a. the Vaasa Museum - the story of the battleship that drowned almost immediately after taking off and being found centuries later. It is very impressive and it is not a site to be missed.
b. the ABBA museum - an interactive way to re-discover ABBA. You can sing, you can dance and have the best time of your life. Truly a fun experience.
c. Grona Lund adventure park - if you are a fan of rollercoasters that is the place to be for you. A fan fact: sometimes the famous bands are invited to play at the park at no extra charge for the visitors. So, you only pay the entrance fee to the park. We were quite lucky to see Johnny Depp's performance as part of the Hollywood Vampires group. Attention: some of the rides can be quite tricky, so be careful.
2. Visit Astrid Lindgren museum - this is a miss on my part but I would highly recommend this if you enjoy fairy tales and her work.
3. Food and Beverage: it is hard to name only a few good places in Stockholm. Every two steps you come across some very nice places where you can get healthy food and a nice drink.
4. Walk the city. There is no better way to discover this beautiful city than getting lost and explore the little roads, getting an ice-cream on the way and enjoy the beautiful views. You can also take a boat and explore the Royal Canal and the nearby islands.
Stockholm is very rich in its culture and has a lot to offer. If you have not yet, I'd highly recommend a visit!
