Evian, little town on the lakeside of Lac Léman. Beautiful and full of character, walking the streets you can recognize the french charm. It reminded me of the setting of the Beauty and the Beast cartoon, which indeed if not mistaken, it was indeed drawn from one of the little French towns. For a moment there, it felt like being part of a fairytale.
The tourists that daily come to visit the source of fresh water and visit the most well known spa. The town is filled with little boutiques and to my great surprise many libraries and bookshops. Those of you know me will know why I have immediately fallen in love with this place. Love it.
Travelled to Evian by boat from Lausanne and have absolutely enjoyed the journey. The 30 minutes where you are in between two countries, completely free of any worries or daily troubles, and with a breathtaking view - were the best. Highly recommend taking the boat.
Here are a few pictures to give you a better idea!
As much as I love to travel, I think that the place that I call #home deserves a post in my blog. #Lausanne is a city of ups and downs, unpredictable weather, very limited entertainment and an amazingly beautiful lakeside. The city is inhibited with international population and you can spot people with very interesting backgrounds all around. If I were to recommend any places to visit, this would be my list:
Wine & Dine
Verona, is the city of love. It is the home of the most famous and tragic love story of Romeo & Juliette and daily tourists come to visit La Casa di Guillietta secretly asking for luck in love for themselves. Verona is also a very artistic city, full of inspiration for young writers, musicians, actors, etc. Arena di Verona annually welcomes worldwide musicians and also hosts an Opera festival in mid-July to mid-August. Being in Verona and not falling in love with the city is impossible. Looking around and seeing young couples by the river on a romantic date by the Castle Vecchio is by itself an inspiring sight.
